National STEM Centre
The National STEM Centre houses the largest open collection of resources for teachers of science, design and technology, engineering and mathematics in the UK. Alongside contemporary resource materials including print, multimedia and practical resources, is an archive collection which showcases several decades of curriculum development. Resources for use with early years to post-16 students are freely available as eLibrary collections. These materials include:
- Contemporary print, multimedia, interactive and practical teaching materials
- Archive of STEM videos from TeachersTV
- Digitised archive resources drawn from recent decades
- Research publications with bearing on classroom practice
- Cross-curricular resources to aid innovative STEM teaching approaches
- The UK Space Education Office (ESERO-UK) collection of space education resources
STEM Ambassadors
The STEM Ambassadors and a STEM Clubs Programme enables young people of all backgrounds and abilities to meet inspiring role models, understand real world applications of STEM subjects and experience hands-on STEM activities that motivate, inspire and bring learning and career opportunities to life.

Royal Society of Chemistry
The RSC provides a comprehensive array of free to download resources for teachers through their Learn Chemistry site.
Association for Science Education
The ASE is the professional body for all those involved in science education from pre-school to higher education, the ASE provides a national network supported by a dedicated staff team. Members include teachers, technicians and advisers. Working closely with the science professional bodies, industry and business, the ASE provides a UK-wide network bringing together individuals and organisations to share ideas and tackle challenges in science teaching. It provides a unique range of services to promote high quality science education by developing resources and fostering high quality Continuing Professional Development.

Keele University Sustainability Hub
Keele University Sustainability Hub acts as a focus for the research into, teaching of and management for sustainability and green technology that takes place here at Keele University. The Sustainability Hub hosts CPD courses for teachers and is also ideal for bringing your classes to visit. The exhibit areas have displays on renewable energy technologies, the innovative energy solutions used in the Hub Building, renovation and information on the history of the building. We also create activities for children and school groups, so come along, have a look and tell us what activities you would like to see.

Science & Plants for Schools
The Science Enhancement Programme resources focus on KS3 and KS4 Physics and Chemistry and are excellent. They contain teacher and technician guidance, student worksheets, background scientific information and where to get the resources needed to run the activities. Now to be found in the National STEM Centre e-library they are free to download from SEP.
Science for Sustainability
Science for Sustainability is a team of environmental specialists based at Keele University who are committed to promoting public awareness of climate change and environmental citizenship through a range of educational activities, learning and teaching resources and interactive demonstrations. We provide a variety of different workshops packed full of activities and each one is tailored to the age and abilities of pupils. Our aim is to educate pupils about the environment and sustainability issues. These issues can be tough to teach so we have put together workshops, posters, resource packs and lesson ideas so take a look at our website for further information.
Tide~ global learning
Tide~ global learning is a teachers’ network promoting the idea that young people have an entitlement to global learning through engaging with global perspectives, human rights, sustainability and international development. They encourage teacher creativity, stimulate learning and inspire curriculum development. They provide ‘creative’ spaces for teachers to come together to share and learn from each other – see their online resources.
