Upcoming changes to parking on Lordship Lane – Monday 27 May 2024

Staffordshire University is transforming its Leek Road site in Stoke-on-Trent with a brand new Student Village due for completion in 2026.

In readiness for the first phase of works to commence over the summer of 2024, from Monday 27 May 2024, Lordship Lane by Staffordshire University Woodlands Day Nursery and Forest School and Clarice Cliff Court, will become a double-yellow line zone. This means that vehicles will no longer be able to park along either side of the road at any time of the day and could receive a penalty charge notice in contravention of the new traffic regulation order.

Alongside improving visibility when entering and exiting the University’s Woodlands Day Nursery and Forest School car park, this development will ensure that works associated with the upcoming Student Village project, which includes plant vehicles entering and exiting site, can be carried out safely. Once work commences, a banksman will be on site to coordinate the safe entry and exit of contractor vehicles.

Parking will continue to remain available on the University’s Leek Road and College Road sites with permits and pay to park in operation. For full details on parking at Staffordshire University can be viewed here.
