The Oxbridge Trio
After an impressive A Level Results day. three high achieving Sixth Form College students are heading off to Oxbridge.
Anderson Allcock and Lucy Sibbring are progressing onto the University of Cambridge whilst David Stone will begin studying at the University of Oxford in September.
Anderson, a former Trentham High School student, has had the ambition to become a veterinary surgeon for many years. This has led him to study a range of science A Level courses at the Sixth Form College, all of which he excelled in. Anderson secured an A* in all three of his A Level courses: Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.
About his time at the Sixth Form College Anderson said:
As a College student I have experienced opportunities and support that have helped me to achieve my full potential. Through the College’s High Achievers Programme I have taken part in mock university interviews, subject workshops and visited elite universities. I can’t wait to start studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Cambridge.
Lucy has a natural gift for science and aspires to work in the science sector. After commendable commitment to study and a lot of hard work, Lucy has achieved an amazing 4 A*s in her A Level Results: Biology, Chemistry, Further Mathematics and Mathematics. Lucy will now go on to study Natural Sciences.
When asked about her time at teh Sixth Form College, Lucy said:
Studying at the Sixth Form College has been a great and rewarding experience. With the help of outstanding teachers and high quality facilities, I have achieved a set of results that I am proud of, four A*s. I’m looking forward to continuing my studies at the University of Cambridge.
David too is a committed student of the sciences and has applied a great level of dedication and ability to secure a set of superb A Level result which include A*s in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. David will now go on to study Chemistry.
