Phases 1 and 2 between 20 May 2024 and Spring 2025:

One-way traffic from Stoke Road to the junction of Leek Road from 20 May 2024 to Spring 2025

Drop-off and pick-up: Winton Square
Long stay parking: Car Park 1, until October 2024 and at Car Park 3, throughout the works
Short stay parking: Car Park 1, until October 2024 then in Car Park 2
Disabled parking: Car Park 1, until October 2024 then in Car Park 2
Bus stops locations: Travelling south outside Federation House, traveling north a temporary bus stop on Leek Road
Taxi rank: Outside Federation House until October 2024
Footpaths: Maintained on the opposite side of the work areas with the crossing point at Winton Square

Full road closure: End of June 2024 for six weeks

Short Stay Parking: Enter Car Park 1 off Leek Road and Car Park 2 off Stoke Road
Footpaths: Maintained on the opposite side of the work areas with the crossing point at Winton Square
Bus stops: Temporary bus stop on Leek Road and exiting bus stop on Stoke Road
Businesses open as usual.

Phase 3: Spring 2025 to Autumn 2025

Bus Gate: In operation outside Winton Square only
Car Park 1 & 2: Drop-off and pick-up, short stay
Car Park 3: Long stay
Taxi Rank: Located in original spot next to Car Park 2

The re-development of Station Road and College Road is set to provide a safe and attractive travel corridor connecting Stoke-on-Trent rail station, Hanley city centre and the City Centre Bus Station.

There will be improved public realm on Station Road including Winton Square to create a welcoming space for rail users.

When will the works start on Station Road?

Work will be undertaken in phases starting 20 May 2024.
Phase 1 – May 2024 – October 2024
Phase 2 – October 2024 – Spring 2025
Phase 3 – Spring 2025 – Autumn 2025
