Jean-Paul Samputu
This week, prominent Rwandan Singer-songwriter Jean-Paul Samputu stopped off at the Sixth Form College to perform a set of his compositions and to share his inspiring life story with our students.
Jean-Paul is currently undertaking an international tour, performing his music and spreading his message of positivity with thousands of listeners.
Jean Paul, a survivor of the Rwandan genocide has, through music, transformed a harrowing set of experiences into a body of music that has inspired many.
Whilst at the Sixth Form, Jean-Paul performed for hundreds of staff and students and gave a motivational talk about the power of art.
Our staff and students found Jean-Pau’s visit to be deeply moving and thought-provoking with many now supporters of Jean-Paul’s work.
