Digital Advantage
The City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College teamed up with Digital Advantage who provided our students with the opportunity to experience working in a realistic digital agency environment for the week.
Students were tasked with creating their own digital business idea, they had to create branding, run the social media and produce a pitch video to be presented to Digital Advantage and the rest of the groups at the end of the week.
Each business will now go head to head with other schools and colleges from the region. The winner will be announced at the Digital Advantage graduation ceremony later in the year where a team of industry experts will pick a winner, with the prize of a £2000 business start up fund up for grabs.
This weeks work experience was made available to all students and provided our students with valuable employability skills as well building their leadership ,teamwork and communication skills. Kim Finn our Course Leader for Creative Arts said “This week has been really beneficial for our students, they’ve gained valuable industry experience as well as developing their interpersonal skills which will help them throughout their studies and prepare them for their next steps”.
