Sport’s Student Success at National Competition
First year student, Lee-J Watson, secured impressive success at respected regional sports competition.
Lee-J, a sports student and member of our Junior Elite Scholarship, represented the College in the regional leg of a the Association of Colleges national competition. The competition features the best, college-aged, athletes from across the nation competing in various sports, each hoping to be named the best in their discipline.
Lee-J, who is a cross-country runner, finished 3rd out of 19 competitors; as a result he will progress onto the national level of the competition, where he will face over 70 athletes.
As a member of the College’s Junior Elite Scholarship Lee-J has received specialist sports support that has included: sports psychology workshops, free gym membership, nutrition guidance and physio sessions.
Through a combination of Lee-J’s natural talent and ambition, and the benefits of the College’s Junior Elite Scholarship we are sure that he can perform well at the national phase of the competition, in April. Good luck Lee-J.
