Become A Governor
The Sixth Form College are seeking forward-thinking members of the local community to join our Governing Body. We are looking to strengthen the team by broadening the range of skills, experiences and perspectives to enable our decision-making process to be more efficient.
As a diverse and highly inclusive college, we are keen to fully represent the community we serve and to involve individuals from all areas of society, cultural backgrounds and ages. We strongly encourage applications from under-represented groups.
As part of our Local Governing Body, you will commit to supporting the college so that it continues to maintain and develop excellent and innovative teaching and learning that will provide our students with the best start to their future careers. Its three key functions are:
- To ensure that the college has clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
- To oversee the financial performance of the college and make sure its money is well spent.
- To hold the Principal and senior leaders to account for the educational performance of the college and its students and the performance management of staff.
